It is a time of unrest in the BookWorld. Only the diplomatic skills of ace literary detective Thursday Next can avert a devastating genre war. But a week before the peace talks, Thursday vanishes. Has she simply returned home to the RealWorld or is this something more sinister?

All is not yet lost. Living at the quiet end of speculative fiction is the written Thursday Next, eager to prove herself worthy of her illustrious namesake.

The fictional Thursday is soon hot on the trail of her factual alter-ego, and quickly stumbles upon a plot so fiendish that it threatens the very BookWorld itself.

Another great instalment in the Thursday Next series. This time told from the perspective of BookWorld Thursday Next, which was a refreshing change.

That was fun! It must have been fun (and hard work) to create the map of the re-organzed book world, from Vanity Islands to Geometric Theories of Dogma, Shakespare in the middle of the island and Humand Drama, Children's Fiction an unclear area between Comedy, Horror, Fantacy and Drama etc.

I came to today's Helsinki Bookcrossing meeting with absolutely no idea what was in store for me. I left with 19 books!! I'm excted to bring most of these home.

I read the Eyre affair right before I left Canada (about 8 months ago) and it took me a while to realize this was in the same Thursday Next series. I'm really excited to take this home to Calgary. Thank you for the warm welcome Thy!

Taken to the November meeting: Ten Big ones. I read about big things in general this month. The fictional Thursday Next has some big shoes to fill in this latest installment of the series!

To the finder:
Calgary has an active group of BookCrossers that meet to swap books and discuss book crossing every second Saturday of the month at 11am at Cravings Market on Fairmount Drive SE. We always love to meet new crossers, so please join us any time you like!

Picked up this book at the Calgary BookCrossing November meet-up. Yes, the next book in the Thursday Next series!

Just when I thought that there was nothing new to explore in this series, Jasper Fforde proves me wrong. He could have easily written the book from Thursday's point of view and it would have been as enjoyable as the other books, but it was so great to spend a book with the fictional Thursday. You get a completely new perspective of the BookWorld. You get readership worries and metaphor shortages and a mime field. I especially liked the visit to Fanfiction. Bring on the next book in the series!
