Pew! Kind of a stinker. I liked the style in which it was written (the author seems pretty skilled at that, based on High Fidelity and About a Boy), but this one made it seem like he's just meeting a page quota. Character development and conflict resolution seemed sorely lacking.

My wife promises me that Songbook is much better.

I love me some Nick Hornby. Color me conformist. This was alright, but these characters didn't grab me the way his Rob Gordon or his Will'n'Marcus did. If you have a family, you might identify with this one a bit more. Still a nice (quick) read.

Nach 3 Jahren im Bücherschrank hab ich es nun endlich gelesen. Ein nettes Buch für die Feiertage und zum Jahresbeginn, was will man mehr.
Die Aufmachung des Buches ist nett.
