I didn't realise what I'd picked up when I started this, and was quite red faced when I realised that it's a well known 'adult' read. Descriptive accounts of slavery always make uncomfortable reading but I found this compulsive enough to read in one sitting.

Put aside for the slightly steamy bookbox to be arranged on the BCUK Yahoo group.

I've added this to the Red Bookbox arranged by Semioticghost.

Liberated from the Red bookbox, I will journal further when I've read it.

As Kleptokitty said, the references to slavery make for uncomfortable reading, but a good read.
