For some reason, I always confuse Catherine Coulter with Anne Coulter. Poor women.

Not bad, not bad. I've read a lot of thrillers that seem to follow a set pattern, but this one seemed to be all right - this one seems to remember the importance of human relationships.

The relationship that blossomed between Dane and Nick had a bit of the "prince rescuing the damsel in distress" aspect to it, but it was still pretty sweet nonetheless. With Nick's backstory - you do have to wonder, and it is fairly chilling, how a woman with Nick's professional credentials and promising career is driven into hiding in San Francisco. And Savich and Sherlock make for cool supporting characters - I understand that Coulter's books are mainly about them, but here, it's Dane and Nick who are the stars.
