I have almost finished I Am Fifteen - and I Don't Want to Die by Christine Anthony, c. 1956, and this is next. Should start it tonight.

I really enjoyed this one. Great atmosphere, description of setting etc.

I am anal enough to collect quotes as I read. These ones made it into my journal:

... he queried, and then frowned, his heavy eyebrows beetling together, centering all his attention on the delicate process of rescuing eggs unbroken from the pan and onto the platter beside the bacon. p35

As we're moving back over the ocean to New Zealand I am finally releasing some books. I am sending this to some fellow pre-school teachers.
