Thank you so much for the book (and all the other stuff you sent me!). What an amazing coincidence - I'm just reading the first "Dangerous Women" anthology, which I borrowed from a friend, so I almost laughed when I saw that this is the number two!

I see there is a story by Nancy Kress, one of my fave authors. Looking forward reding it!

Journal Entry 4 by -solaria- at Turku, Varsinais-Suomi / Egentliga Finland Finland on Monday, May 9, 2016
It took me a while to finish the book, because I read one short story every now and then. This contained seven stories, and some I liked a lot and some I found somewhat boring.

Nancy Kress didn't let me down this time either. Her story "Second Arabesque, Very Slowly" was very good and haunting. "Lies My Mother Told Me" by Caroline Spector was excellent, as well. Such extraordinary superheroes!

Also, I was pleasantly surprised when I read Stirling's "Pronouncing Doom", because it was set in the world of his Dies the Fire trilogy - which I have read a few years ago (via Bookcrossing too, naturally).

I'll take the book to the local meet-up to find new readers. Happy reading!

Dunno whether I picked the book up because it says "Diane Gabaldon" or "George R. R. Martin" on the cover... Anyhoo, will save it for some lazy moment in the hammock!

Not quite to my liking, which I'm sorry to say. Perhaps the women weren't dangerous enough or the short stories too long... Oh well, there's a wide world out there, someone else must like the book better!

Oh dear, I thought this was Dangerous Women 1, because the number was not visible on the cover. Should have looked inside the book!
