I've been trying to read this book for months! I would struggle through a section, then once I'd put it down it would feel like a real effort to pick it up again. It's not exactly dry, in fact it's quite readable in parts. I just got bored of descriptions of arthropods. I got past halfway so I'm counting it as one of my "books read" this year.

This will be on its way to linguistkris shortly. Sorry, Kris, for the delay!

Oh whee, a surprise book parcel to brighten a rainy day! Thank you so much for sending, I didn't mind the waiting time one bit. :D

I've been meaning to read some SJG ever since I was in high school, really, and just never got around to it. It's quite horrible: I honestly do enjoy reading non-fiction and think that the gratification of learning new things can easily be as great as getting absorbed in a work of fiction, but nevertheless I do get lured away by "easy" mysteries etc. all the time. Let's see how I'll cope with this. :)
