A Glory Of Unicorns

This collection of children's fantasy stories center around unicorns. There are a lot of different portrayals of these horned horses and the editor did a good job selecting a variety of styles, locations and range of characters. Some of my favorites were:
"The Ugly Unicorn" by Jessica Amanda Salmonson, set in China where a blind girl meets an ugly unicorn, but feels that there is no way such a kind creature could be as ugly as he claims.
"A Song for Croaker Nordge" by Nancy Varian Berberick and Greg Labarbera was a bitter-sweet story with memorable characters.
"Stealing Dreams" by Ruth O'Neil is a tale about being afraid of growing up. When Michael's parents remove his "childish" wallpaper, he doesn't want to lose the unicorn who lives in the images and tries to find a way to bring it out of the paper.
