Pawleys Island: A Lowcountry tale (Lowcountry Tales)
3 journalers for this copy...
"From the book jacket..."...Rebecca has been catapulted from her home, her marriage, and her children. She has escaped to Pawleys Island to hide herself from herself. But after Miss Olivia pries Rebecca's secrets from her, Huey and especially Abigail are challenged to reenter life outside the dream state their idyllic geography evokes. They will see that Rebecca has her day in court, but they never expect to provoke a national forum for discussion."
My thoughts...I found it a little unbelievable that Rebecca would open up about her personal life to virtual strangers within hours of meeting them. Once I got past that I have to say that I really enjoyed this book. I loved the characters and I kept reading to find out what would happen next. I found the book hard to put down.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Added to a box of books I sent to Aberpeter in WA.
thank you dabercro
I very much enjoyed reading this book, although it struck me as gossipy. I think it was because a lot of the story and how it played out was almost bigger than real life. I wasn't necessarily drawn to the characters, but the story itself sucked me in... kind of like a good piece of juicy gossip.
Adding to the Around the World Bookbox.
Caught with thanks when the book box returned home to me
