A truly great book! It was a long book, that, when I was halfway through, I was regretting that I ever had to finish it!
If you like the Harry Potter books, you will love this book! I read it every chance I had and the time flew while I was reading!
Get this book! You won't regret it, unless you just dont' like this type of book.
Book will be released to CurtAngel on or about 12/24/03.
Rowling never ceases to amaze me. Every single one of her books I think I have it all figured out and every single time I'm wrong. You'd think I'd have learned my lesson by now.
The Elf Liberation Front is an interesting concept, which I heard continues into the next book. I always assumed everyone was taken care of magically.
Maybe I missed something, but I could have sworn both of Harry Potter's parents were magical, but here they clearly state that his mother was a "muggle". Unless she was magical but the bad guys considered her that because she wasn't of a wizarding family.
Wow though, the book has really taken a turn now. I can see why people were racing to get the next one. I almost feel hesitant to read the next one because if I do, I'll be all caught up and I'll have to wait for the next book like everyone else. :)
A fun read, but also quite intelligent and well written. I wish more "kids" books were written like this.
