I really enjoyed Pike's teenage horror stories when I was younger and must admit that this particular book has been sat on my shelf for a number of years.
I found the idea behind the story, that we all have past life memories of our ancestors stored in our genes, fascinating and will definitely be seeking out more about Egyptian and Dogon cultures. But I became more interested in these ideas than the plot of the book. It didn't scare me in the slightest, although whether that is Pike's writing or me growing up, I'm not sure.
