Blindsighted (Dr. Sara Linton Mystery #1)

On my TBR pile.
From amazon.com:
A small Georgia town erupts in panic when a young college professor is found brutally mutilated in the local diner. But it's only when town pediatrician and coroner Sara Linton does the autopsy that the full extent of the killer's twisted work becomes clear.
Sara's ex-husband, police chief Jeffrey Tolliver, leads the investigation -- a trail of terror that grows increasingly macabre when another local woman is found crucified a few days later. But he's got more than a sadistic serial killer on his hands, for the county's sole female detective, Lena Adams -- the first victim's sister -- want to serve her own justice.
But it is Sara who holds the key to finding the killer. A secret from her past could unmask the brilliantly malevolent psychopath .. or mean her death.

Am sending to Maurean to get this bookring going!
Another of jenvince's rings that arrived in today's mail...I have a few rings ahead of this one, but will get to this ASAP, and journal again once its read. (Thanks for including me in this one!!)
This really was a gripping, page-turner of a suspense novel; *especially* for a first-time writer (I didn't get that long, drawn-out impression that I do from most 'first' books) I don't want to go into much detail here, as Jenvince hasn't had an opportunity to read this one yet, but I will say that the writing was tantilizing, the characters were well-developed and interesting, and I, for one, will certainly look to read "Kisscut" to follow-up with the Lintons, Jeffrey and Lena.
Thanks so much for sharing this, jenvince, and I expect to have this on its way to sweetpea0678 sometime this week. *mailed Wed., 8/25

Will be starting soon. Looking forward to it.
I read this book over the weekend. Due to a hurricane I was stuck in the house. So glad I had this book with me.
I found it to be a quick read, as it had me from the beginning. I really liked the book. Thank you so much for sharing. I am going to look into getting the next book by Karin Slaughter. Thanks again.
Will PM meshe for her address and send it off as soon as I get to the post office.

Sent to next bookcrosser in bookring on September 14, 2004. Thank you so much for sharing this book, I loved it.
came in today's mail along with 2 other bookrings. will read as fast as possible.
10/05/04 I finished this and thought I journaled, but since it's not here I guess I didn't. This book was only average for me. I wanted to read it because it was set in Georgia. I think I was bothered by the little things that were "wrong" (I20 is nowhere near Macon, if the author lives in Atlanta she should know little things like this.)and couldn't get into the storyline.I have Kisscut in my tbr and will read it with a more open mind. Mailed today to q-cow. Thanks for offering this bookray.

"He kills in plain sight. But you won't see him coming..." Whoaness. I'm so drawn in. Can't wait to read this.
I almost bought this book hardback for like 99 piso here. that's two dollars US. I can't believe it was there. But i didn't have money of my own to get it. I was out with my parents who think i have way too much books.
It was amazing. None of the characters were flat. They were all real. All the plot, was engaging.
Far above most mystery, thrillers i've read so far. I think that's because it isn't in first person narrative.

I enjoyed it, kept a good pace!
Sending to Sharalsbooks next week!
Received in the mail today. I've never read this author before but I've heard good things so I am looking forward to reading this one. I have Kisscut but I MUST read a series in order. I have a couple of rings in front of this one but hope to get to this pretty soon.
Wow, a genre change really did the trick! I really enjoyed the story and look forward to more by this author. I thought the characters were great and am curious to see what becomes of Lena after her ordeal. I think Sara and Jeffrey have a lot of chemistry and even though a lot of water has gone under that bridge, I don't think they are quite over each other. We know Jeffrey isn't anyway. The ending fell a little flat for me after the intense build up, I was expecting more intensity. Overall, I really enjoyed all of it!
Thanks Jen for allowing me to participate!

It's home! Thank you to all for participating in my bookring. I look forward to reading this one.
Oh my...those poor women! This book was very well-written, could picture the scenes and characters. Very suspenseful and gripping story. I really, really like this author. I've read Kisscut and can't wait to read more. I agree with sharalsbooks, I did feel the ending was a little flat, but it didn't deter from the story. Overall, this got two thumbs up from me!
Promised to Iagegu - mailed 8/23/05.

I am now half way through reading this book. Fantastic!
The best book I have read in a long time. I will look for more books by this author.
