01.08.2013: An interesting concept, a well known author still alive, or rather undead, as a vampire, desperately trying to find a publisher for a novel she wrote centuries ago. Although the book provides a coherent story, there are some scenes that are just too weird to be enjoyable and fitting to the story. A bit more character development and detail would also have been nice. All in all, a nice read, but not smashing.

Accompanied by two other vampire books, this book will travel to Belgium. Bloedengel, enjoy!

I'm in a real Jane Austen reading frenzy. I don't know if this will end in reading this book straight after finishing Emma and Fay Weldon's 'letters to Alice on first reading Jane Austen' or if it 'll have to wait. MTBR is high as ever ...
but ... I will get round to it eventually !

What a funny, interesting and enthralling book !
This could have been contemporary Austen indeed. And the stiff upper lip fun is just great !!! I loved it.

But have so many books waiting to be read. This one will travel on ;)
