cover:
With promises of new jobs and millions in revenue, the Wind River Reservation agrees to use their land for a nuclear storage site. But Arapaho attorney Vicky Holden is not willing to let this happen. And with help from Father John O'Malley, she sets out to protect the land and her people.
But someone involved wants to keep Vicky - and anyone else who stands in the way - quiet. When a man is murdered and two attempts are made on Vicky's life, she knows the stakes have been raised. Now Vicky and Father John must search through false promises and misguided dreams to find the truth of this harrowing crime - and restore the true spirit and dreams of the Arapaho...

I have enjoyed other Vicky Holden/Fr O'Malley tales but I found it too hard to suspend disbelief in this one. Nothing rang true except the skulduggery related to nuclear waste. A Catholic priest would never say no to a donation no matter where it came from - not known for their squeamishness over the origins of money. I didn't care what happened to the characters. I don't think I'll be bothering with any more of these.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Sent to tayjan for the NEW wishlist tag game.
The book has just arrived. Thank you so much!
Now I've read the book.
At first I couldn't quite get into the story but then it took me with it and was in the end full of suspense.
I like the mysteries of Father O'Malley and am looking forward to the next one.
