The first third of the book was slow but the final third of the book got interesting and the ending was good. There book addressed some difficult and sensitive issues such as rape and sexual harassment. It is set in the early 20th century and there was a bias against divorced women at that time. Also, the protagonist's mother showed marked favoritism to one daughter over another and rejected one of her daughters.

This book was left in the Little Free Library.

It was released for the 2018 March Oh, the Places We Can Go release challenge.
