From the back cover: They were together for all the wrong reasons.
Gray was beautiful four years ago, when he asked Isabel to marry him. Now there are no words to describe him. He is no longer young and reckless, not by any stretch of the imagination, but a tormented man, driven by secrets, silent about what he's done since he disappeared.
She knew how to handle the boy he was, but this man...this man is not tamable. Does she dare explore the place inside herself that Gray demands to possess? Does she trust him enough to bare herself completely to a lover who has returned as a stranger?

A historical, erotic romance that tells of a marriage between Grayson and Pelham (Pel to her friends and lovers). After marrying her to upset his mother, he leaves for four years and returns to really be a husband to her. But will she have him in that way? Would she rather continue with casual affairs that don't affect her heart? Can they find love?

Arrived today and I look forward to reading this soon - thanks for sharing, minesayn!
This 'Regency Romance' is not my usual cup of tea, but I found it quite good. It is explicit and steamy, but this is in support of the plot, not in place of it. Isabel and Gerard (aka Pel and Gray) married in an attempt to achieve some semblance of propriety while secretly agreeing to maintain their extramarital affairs. Isabel is a widow who enjoys her affairs as a way to protect her heart from being wounded as her first husband did. Gerard is in love with a married woman and wants her as his mistress, while needing a marriage to appease his mother. It seems a match made in Heaven until a tragedy strikes and Gray leaves in fit of depression and re-examines his life, leaving Pel free to pursue her flings. When Gray returns with a more mature perspective, he realizes his mistake and chases and woos Pel. There's also a fun side plot involving Rhys and Abigail. Steamy and fun.
