CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

Wishlisttaggame book for dutchbook.

I liked this book, and Atkinson ALWAYS writes well, but this one was just one touch more longwinding than her others.

There it is! Probably my most anticipated book in Castricum.

And I've finished it. I liked it, although sometimes it was a bit difficult to not jumble all the names. I even considered making a little family tree, but I didn't. I had to sometimes flip back a couple of chapters, because some people were being referenced again and I hadn't really a clue on how the reference worked. The end made it all pretty clear. It's not like the other Kate Atkinson's books though.

O dear! I found my last Kate Atkinson rather confusing with the amount of names and events, and from what I read from dutch-book, this book may be similar.

I'll give it a go though and maybe I WILL make a family-tree...

This book, like the last one I read by Kate Atkinson, is very confusing with the amount of names we have to deal with and all the time lapses. Since I usually read either in bed or in the bath, it wasn't practical to make a family-tree like dutch-book suggested and to be honest, I don't think it would have helped much. I more or less dealt with the book as if it were a collection of short stories in which some characters recur.

Having done that I can say I've just read a long list of descriptions of the most terrible events; however beautifully written en well described.
