i have to say, this is one of the worse pop-sci books I've come across. It's so bias; it skips so many basic things about the topics covered and takes examples completely out of context (so as to render them in an opposite light to reality), in order to further the points being made.

It's a real shame - the over all point that the cool and exciting stuff in science is the stuff we can't explain yet - I entirely agree with. But Brooks has tried to illustrate this with some really atrocious science. I'm appalled, to be honest.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I'm a bit torn about releasing this, given how misleading it it. But I don't approve of censorship! So I guess I have to leave it for someone else to make their own mind up..

I'm off to the collider exhibit (with a sideline visit to the maths gallery, amongst others) at the sci museum and will leave this somewhere around the building while there
