I loved this book. The characters are very well-drawn: funny and flawed but at the same time really noble. The plot is very well-structured - I love the way it all links together and the use of the different narrators and then/now structure. A really great read.

The book arrived yesterday. Thank you so much Lamilla for giving me the chance to read it, thank you also for the beautiful card😀
I enjoyed reading this book. So many interesting facts about London during the 2nd world war, about Jamaica, racism in England and racism in the USA and characters that are touching, funny and who seem so real.
The first book by Andrea Levy I have ever read and I surely want to read more of hers if I have the chance in the future.

The book was given to me by vassilka!
