From the back cover: "Alistair MacLeod's collected stories, including two never before published, are gathered together for the first time in "Island". These sixteen superbly crafted stories, most of them based in Cape Breton even if its people stray elsewhere, depict men and women living out their lives against the haunting landscape that surrounds them."

Hi starrdust!!

I was working away on the main Cookstown road and came across this amazing find at the post office! I was a little worried and intrigued at the beginning; who's book is this, is it lost, why does it say "free book", what was the purpose of this propped up free book? I read the front and got quite excited with the whole idea. I am so excited to be the first person to start this books journey and to read what already seems like an amazing novel!!

Thank you for this new and wonderful opportunity.
