ブックムーチでリクエストして送っていただきました。私の無理難題をこんなにいとも軽く交わすとは憎らしい（笑）。はい、サルがインコとイヌとでやって参りました。かねてから読んでみたい本だったので、楽しみです。しかし、近年のＳＡＬ便の速さに改めて驚きです。
短編以外の村上作品を読むのは10年以上以来です。当時はとても読み難く、全く感情に触れず、理解する事もみつからず、逆に居心地の悪さしか感じれずに断念しました。
今回は構えて読み始めたのですが、これが割りと読み易い。読み易さの原因は、まず心で構えていたからかもしれません。まだ彼の比喩表現には苦手な部分があります。これはセンスの違いと綺麗な標準語（私は地方出身者～）が、とても非日常的な印象を私に与えるようで、これは時には拒否反応まで起こしてしまいます。今回は割りと大丈夫でした。あとは、登場人物を通していろんな人生観や意見がはっきり述べられるところ。これは非直接的な表現と比較してとても分かり易い。そして今回は、彼の作品の文体がとても英語に置き換えられやすいものである事に気付き、少々驚きました。
そして結果的に何が残ったか？やはり村上さんの人生論、人間関係論になるのでしょうか？人と交わる出会いには必ず始めと終わりがあり、終焉は避けられない。人と距離を永遠に保ち一人でいる事は孤独だが、他人と交わらない代わりに、彼らはずっと平行線でそこにある。どっちが良いとかいうものではない。得るものがあれば失うときはくる。何もなければ失う事も永遠にない。そんなもんでしょうか。ガツンと来るもの、心を揺さぶるほどに強いものは見つけられませんでした。
