I picked up Volume 2 and Volume 3 in a trade recently, and went looking for an inexpensive copy of Vol. 1; found this at Better World Books.
The premise seems a bit weird: shy teen Akira lost his parents years ago, and now that his grandmother has died he finds himself being offered a home with distant relatives - in a mansion, where his cousin Rei, a boy his own age, also lives. While it seems that they're both being groomed to vie for the position at the top of a vast family business, the boys strike up a tentative friendship - and perhaps more than that, as the flirtation (on Rei's side, anyway) starts early! There's also Okumiya, the tall, dark, handsome tutor, and Shigure, a tall, fair-haired bodyguard; these two seem to have some chemistry too, or perhaps it's just my wishful thinking. [I do love competent "battle butler" types!]
There's also Raoul, Rei's (grown-up) nephew, who's quite a rogue - and who seems to have a bit of a history with Shigure. He also develops an interest in Akira, leading to a rather disturbing molestation scene. Luckily, the cavalry shows up in time - and Akira himself shows considerable grit in confronting Raoul afterwards.
So we seem to have a very clear-cut romantic pair here, with Akira - still rather puzzled about the guys-kissing business (he even thought of Raoul's attempted assault on him as a "prank" to get him to fight!?!) - acknowledging how fond he has become of Rei. But will they wind up as a romantic couple or would they be better off as friends? And if they're forced to compete for "head of the family", what will that do to their relationship?
