Bought from Habitat for Humanity in a grab bag for $2.00. My 22 mth daughter helped me fill the bag so perhaps this wasn't my choice of reading but shall give it a go! Had to love the enthusiasm though.

I thought I might share with you something about the author. I always enjoy reading the bios.. [from the back cover]
I am a country girl at heart, born and raised in the South. Most of my books take place in that locale because I simply can't comprehend big-city life. I can't connect to a powerful heroine running a multi-million dollar company; neither can I relate to glitz and glamour. None of that has anything to do with the 'real' me. Give me a small-town girl struggling to make a living or trying to come to terms with her own insecurities, and I'll give you an idea for a story! I like including children and pets in my stories because, for me, they are an important part of life. As for my heroes, it's true that I like them strong and powerful, but even they have one or two insecurities to deal with. Thankfully, the heroines can help them cope.
My personal life is a lot like my books. I live in a small South Carolina town with my husband and two boys who keep me busy from the time they climb out of bed in the morning to when they climb back in at night. There is always something going on at our house that any parent can relate to: school and church activities, sports, and of course weekly treks to video stores for the latest Nintendo. Just like other moms, I am always nagging my boys to clean their room, and if one thing drives me crazy it's all those baseball cards strewn throughout the house! We have pets, of course: two dogs, Boomer and Grunt, and a cat named Snookie.
My husband of fifteen years is still my best friend. He is not only a wonderful father to our children but my own personal hero. I could not have come this far in my career without his constant support.
In what spare time I can find, I enjoy gardening and reading. I have a vegetable garden out back, and I'm always planting flowers. I call this my therapy because it helps me unwind when things get too hectic. But I may as well confess, I use this time to think up new and wonderful stories just for you!

I have almost finished my current read A Time To Kill by John Grisham, and have literally rolled the dice to see what I am about to read next. And, ta-da, this book is up next. Hopefully, I'll get the chance to crack it open this evening :)

I'm going to do something a little different here - make a daily entry. My sig file on my email
has a passage from my current read. This changes daily, usually first thing in the morning. I
thought it would be nice for you to see these quotes, too.

Why these particular passages? I look at the spot where I stopped when we turned out the
light, hubby reads too, and see if anything is worthwhile sharing. Sometimes it's cliche but
when it is, I often suspend my preconceptions and look at it as if seeing it for the first time.
Often the imagery is sharp. Anyhow enough babbling. …
