Although I really shouldn't have, I couldn't resist having a quick look to see what was on the local charity book shelves - this called to me, so had to get it. Another one to sneak into the house when no-one is around.

I started watching 'True Blood' on the TV, but gave up - not because I didn't like it, but because it was always on so late. The books were sort of on my 'unofficial' wish list, should I happen across one, so spotting the first one in a charity shop was perfect.

And I did enjoy it, a lot. It's easy to read, some good characters, a little murder mystery, some sexy vamps and not-so-human humans. No, it didn't blow my mind; No, there wasn't a huge amount of originality; No, I probably (hmm, maybe!) won't read it again - but it was a decent read, kept me entertained for a couple of days and has made me want to track down the rest of the books.

Off to Finland as a wishlist RABCK - hope you enjoy it.

The book was very entertaining and an easy read. It was funny to notice some differences to the tv series but I guess that can be expected. It didn't bother me. This is something perfect to get you away from every day stuff. And luckily I already have book no 2 at hand.
