A grab-bag from across the ages... from Elizabeth I on down! No holds barred. Many of the pieces didn't really appeal to me, but in such a broad anthology, I suppose there's something for everyone. A few appetizers:

"It's not true that life is one damn thing after another -- it's one damn thing over and over." (Edna St Vincent Millay)

"The vote, I thought, means nothing to women. We should be armed." (Edna O'Brien)

"Stop Miss World -- we want to get off!" (Banner outside Miss World competition)

"I'm furious about the women's liberationists. They keep getting up on soap-boxes and proclaiming that women are brighter than men. That's true, but it should be kept very quiet or it ruins the whole racket." (Anita Loos)

"When I burnt my bra, it took the fire department four days to put out the blaze." (Dolly Parton)

Sigh.... justabookhound pawned this off on me cause she had too many books collected from the meetup. Not that I didn't.... :)

So this goes onto my TBR pile. Looks quite fun! Thanks for passing it along! :)

I have enjoyed browsing through this book when i needed a head break, just to read some of the accessible quotes. Thanks tigercub! Will be leaving this at the Old Triangle as I meet some friends for lunch there, around noon, either by the entrance or in the women's washroom. Happy hunting!

I was at the Old Triangle with my dad and went to the washroom and saw this book. This is my second book crossing book in 2 years. I brought it back to the table and told everyone about book crossing
