Anna, a newly qualified interior designer, has risked everything on buying a tiny but adorable cottage so she can renovate it, sell it on and prove to her family that she can earn her own living. Outside, the chocolate-box cottage is perfect, but inside all is chaos: with a ladder for a staircase, no downstairs flooring and candles the only form of lighting.
Her neighbour Chloe comes to the rescue, providing tea, wine and sympathy - and a recently rescued greyhound, Caroline. But just as Anna´s starting to believe she´s found the perfect idyll, the good-looking yet impossible Rob Hunter arrives on the scene, putting up more obstacles than the Grand National.
A really sweet and a nice book like most books by Katie Fforde :)

Thank you so much for this book - looking forward to read it!
Ah, a good British chicklit. It has its ups and downs, like the somehow-annoying neighbour playing matchmaker to the main character. Still, I liked reading it; it has a good storyline, with its twists and nice ending. As it’s always the case with novels by this author, I had a great time reading it, made me laugh and forget for a while reality – even if the story does have a dose of reality. She’s an author to keep on a reading list when it need of something light, fun and a bit realistic!
