Received from a paperbackswap.com member in Virginia to read and release in the wild. I love the BBC dramatization with David Tennant as Leo, so I wanted to see how much, if any, was different in the book.
This was a relatively quick read—not as quick as the BBC dramatization, but still an easy page-turner. I liked that I got to know Emmi and Leo a bit more through their extensive e-mail correspondence and a couple of subplots that were brand new to me. I think if I had read this book first, then listened to the BBC dramatization, I would have been disappointed in both. But my affection for the BBC dramatization (admittedly, because of David Tennant) made me like the book as much as I did.
