One of my favorite Dean Koontz novels (I'm not really a big fan, but there are a few I like) - here is the description from Amazon:
"Harry Lyon was a rational man, a cop who refused to let his job harden his soul. Then one fateful day, he was forced to shoot a man--and a homeless stranger with bloodshot eyes uttered the haunting words that challenged Harry Lyon's sanity:

"Ticktock, ticktock. You'll be dead in sixteen hours...Dead by dawn...Dead by dawn...Dead by dawn...""

Currently reading it; it has kept me awake at night during a very stressful move to my new home.
Sorry for keeping it so long; I will PM Rrrcaron.

It took me a while to get into this novel, I found it too long... or maybe I was too tired at night, when I usually read, with moving house and all...
However, it is a quite interesting premise, which I enjoyed. Different stories come together as pieces of a puzzle, and the plot is quite original and unexpected.
I liked particularly the interaction between the couple of "cops", very well depicted and credible.
Sorry that I kept this so long, and thanks for sharing it, Jeskawest.
Rrrcaron has not answered PMs or ISOs, so I'm skipping her for this one.

Bookworm lady, don’t worry about the delay, considering I just received this after 7 years! Package was beat up, but everything inside was okay. Thank you! I guess I better put it on top of my TBR, huh? And thank you for the present! It’s adorable!
