Quite a peculiar book with old Nordic mythology and somewhat critical view to monoteism at the end of the book, it seems? Odd bits of humour can be found also in this book.

Many readers have said that this differs from the other Harris's books. Well it does, but it also has at least one thing in common: the trickster, in this book Loki. Somehow in almost all Harris's books there is a trickster figure, a wanderer and some mode of magical realism. Here there is not much realism, only magic, but certain elements are there.

Weird, but an adventurous book.

I took the book as I was intrigued.

I'm afraid this wasn't my cup of tea after all. I tried to read it, but I found it just boring. I hope the next reader will enjoy it more!
