I picked this up at Books-A-Million in Ames on a recent foray. It was on the discount shelves out front, and I just couldn't pass it up.

This was a really great book! I found out a lot of things about autistic savants and how the human brain works. since I've already been learning all I can about the human brain for about a decade and a half now, it's really interesting.
The author also does a pretty good job of refuting the notion that the human brain is much like a computer - in a few minor ways it is, but the way emotions and experiences are tied into memory and thought processes makes it a completely different entity.
Will release when I can find a good home for it.....
