The Throwback

This is the last of the books I acquired from the auction at the Red Rose caving hut. I've hung onto this one so long because I thought it looked worth reading before I give it away. Hopefully, by registering it, I will have the impetus to read the thing so it can be released.
An enjoyable read. A bit of a 1970s timewarp what with the jokes about inflation and the Benny Hill humour, but mostly on the right side of the funny/offensive boundary.
I plan to leave it at the bunkhouse in the lakes I'm going to at New Year.

Had a very cold new year in this draughty bunkbarn. Had 4 season bag and still needed to wear thermals and fleecy hat to bed. Left book to help next victims distract themselves from onset of hypothermia.
