Frost Burned: Mercy Thompson Book 7
5 journalers for this copy...
Finally a new book of the Mercy Thompson (ah - Hauptmann) series! A fast and exciting story as each time. I loved it very much to learn about new parts of the pack and the persons around them.
It's going to be a BookRing - I'm going to contact the participants of the last BookRings.

Wandert morgen in die Post :)
noch nicht ganz zur Tür drin, war die erste Frage heute "Moooooooooom, hab ich Post gekriegt?" "Ja, da war ne Büchersendung und..." "Egal, hauptsache das Buch!"
as always:
Stunning, gorgeous, gripping - adorable.

and btw., I really like it that Ms Briggs asks a German for help now. It makes the stories so much... uhm, wholehearted for me. The people behind "Grimm" literally should take a leaf out of her book! All those Blutbadens, Jagerbears and - my favourite - Mellischwuler make me frown at the best.

weiter geht's
Oh it is here, it is here!!! Uhm... my flight to Sweden is tomorrow and my alarmclock willl ring at 6:30 ... I must not start to read today, I must not - argh - if I fall asleep tomorrow and Wyando has to carry me and my 20 kg luggage from the plane to the bus he knows whom to blame!
Edit 29.04.2013:
After a short delay due to my visit to Sweden I have now come around to reading the book. Wow, that was suspensefull again! Hardly a minute to take a breath in between. Due to this book I have finally looked up "The Tyger" poem that is so often quotet (William Blake 1794) (this is at least the forth time I have come across it - this book, Anne Rice - The Body thief (I think), and at least two other books). Well I can´t see what the fuss is about that poem... but at least I know what everybody is quoting now.
I start to get really nosy about "The lord of the night" - I wonder if Mercy is going to travell to Europe any time soon ;-) I loved the Quote out of the Princess Bride - too bad she had to explain it - they should have caught on by themselfes... The end was a bit abrupt - from showdown to last word in just under 7 pages??? And Mercy never answerd Jesses question that didn´t cause the accident at the start.
That Cantrip Agent Armstrong (the not rogue one) was more or less pointless - he didn´t really do anything and then he just vanished from the plot.
And now I´m back to chewing my fingernails for the next installment. This one didn´t really tell us anything about what is going to happen next on a larger scale between the supernatural and the normal. I liked Zees comment "Liebchen, If they could just all point their swords in the same direction for more than ten seconds, they might manage something scary."
Leaves all possibilities open.

The book is on it´s way to the next reader. Thank you very much for this ring! Now it´s time to chew on our nails again, until the next installment is published...
Great, just got it from the mail box :-D
I will only finish a Simon Beckett (not registered yet, it's Whispers of the Dead), and then I will go on with Mercy - looking forward to it!
Edit 2013-06-09:
This book is kind of two books. At first I thought, ah, this is the end of this story. But why was it so short and why are there so much pages left? ;-) But it is worth the "second" part and I actually read it twice: once in a rush and the second time with a bit more time.
Now it goes on to Lytante.
