I picked this up mainly because I love books about New York. As the song says, "I'm a native New Yorker." I am looking forward to reading this and sharing it.

I started to read this yesterday and finished it this morning. That is how much I enjoyed this one! Pete Hamill does a wonderful job incorporating the history of NYC with his own. The book was a surprisingly easy read that provided some fresh insights into the history of the city I love. I am glad I read it and look forward to seeing future JEs. I know the next reader, booklady331, will enjoy it.
