Caught at the Wellington Bookcrossers Christmas lunch held at the new home in Waikanae belonging to Captainsdoxy. Wonderful house with so many superb exotic modern features and a stunning view.
An author I'm very taken with so this will be an eagerly awaited read in the coming weeks.

Really enjoyed this book. I have always been a fan of J.D.Robb.

New York in the year 2058 is still a dangerous place...
The first victim is lying on a pavement in the rain. The second is murdered in her own apartment building. Police Lieutenant Eve Dallas has no problem finding connections between the two crimes> Both victims were highly successful women. Their lives and loves were the talk of the town. And their intimate relations with men of great power and wealth provide Eve with a long list of suspects including her own lover.

I've read other books by the author, but not this series. It was a bit of a disadvantage as I didn't have the assumed knowledge of the characters or their background, but not a big problem. It's not quite a standalone book, but almost.

Entertaining, kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next.
