I love historical fiction and I love especially much historical fiction set in Italy. I think this was a slightly dissapointing book when I was reading it, but now after a few weeks I feel that it wasn't bad rather that it wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. Nevertheless a fascinating glimpse into convent life. I liked the beauty of the text, it was really vivid, visual and detailed. Maybe the plot wasn't as original as I had wished but it did work.
