I inherited this book from my father who passed away twelve years ago. He liked Ms Pym a lot and I remember him reading her sitting by the kitchen table having a late night sandwich and a glass of wine. "I pity anyone with a name like Pym" I thought back then and that's how it stuck to my mind.
Lauraloo29 won the October (!) sweeps and has this on her wishlist. I must have gotten her mixed up with somebody else as I remember having gone through a list thinking there is nothing that I have, but now that I realized I still haven't sent her a book (my deepest apologies) I noticed that this has been on her wishlist all along. I hastily began to read it, but soon realized it's not my kind of book - all the better as I'm ready to send it off right away.
I'm really sorry and ashamed that the book comes so late, there is really no good excuse for it. I hope you'll like the book more than I did! And I'm sure Dad would be thrilled if the book finally found an eager reader.
The newspaper clipping has been sitting between the pages all this time.

Thank you very much for sending me this1001-listed book from my wishlist, along with so many goodies that I like, love or have good use for :-)

I loved this book. It was taking me into a time and social setting that was not so familiar, but by describing the lives of Norman, Letty, Marcia and Edwin their every day issues, dreams, hopes, disappointments it gave a great window in that time long gone.

Strangely I like Pym's books. I, who wants as much action as possible in a book, the more shootings or mysteries to be uncovered, the better.
In Pym's book nothing much happens. And still I do not get bored while reading them. Will see if I can lay hands on more.

I intend to take this book to the Oxford Convention in April this year.

A book from an author on whom there will be a talk at the convention. This one MUST be released in Oxford, really.

I found the book at the Oxford convention (newspaper clip included) And now kirjakko your fathers book is in Greece. I must say I feel tempted to keep the newspaper clip!!For now is in my post board. As for the book when I read it I am thinking of taking it with me to Calgary Canada to release it there. And it will be the second trip this little book will make to Canada!!! And both trips in Alberta!!! Anyway I have 3 months till my trip and will let u know if the book will come with me.
