Loved this book. Caught me right away with its gorgeous cover, kept me enchanted with a mysterious and often sad tale of a daughter's life with her "companions" (that no one else can see. . .). Lovely, moving story, but be forewarned, it had me sobbing aloud at points -
Thanks again to my friend Seferim for sending this my way. Going to set it up as a bookring, for others to enjoy -

Released on Monday, May 03, 2004 at postal release to fellow bookcrosser in Portland, Oregon USA.

posting today to MollyGrue, first stop on the bookring! hope you enjoy it!

Received this last night! Will put at the top of my TBR list.

EDIT: Just finished this recently. Not the book I thought it was going to be. It was ok, just not the type of literary urban fantasy I thought it was. :) It reads more like a memoir of the characters life.

This finally arrived today -- I think weeblet and I could have walked to each other's house by this time. Oh well... I have several bookrings at the moment, but will get through them as soon as possible so I can read this and pass it on. Keep an eye on my bookshelf information to see where I am in my bookring list and when I expect to finish with this (I'll update it tomorrow morning with this book).

UPDATE 9/13 - I'm starting this book today and hope to finish in a couple of days.

Journal Entry 16 by Lpree from Omaha, Nebraska USA on Tuesday, September 14, 2004
This ended up being a quick read and I finished it in one day... This was a really interesting story and I was very intrigued with the companions - I was looking forward to finding out exactly who they were and what their purpose was. That alone kept me reading to the end! I enjoyed the book quite a lot - thanks for offering this up!

I will PM the next person on the list and hope to mail it out sometime this week.

UPDATE 9/20 - Sent media mail to yourotherleft today.

This book started out slow for me. It was only my pure and simple curiousity that kept me reading long enough for it to really suck me in, and I'm glad it did. It was very suspenseful in an odd way, and I felt like I really got to "know" Eva as a character, and I thought the ending was just perfectly bittersweet.

Thanks for sharing and for your patience, savannahblue! It'll be in the mail to dragonfly4 this afternoon.

Journal Entry 19 by dragonfly4 on Thursday, December 30, 2004
Arrived yesterday and I'll be starting it right away.

I read this book in 2 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters and setting were so well developed, I often felt as if I was right there. I actually had to leave the room to read the last chapter by myself - I was sobbing! I'll definately be looking for more by this author.

I'll be mailing this back to savannahblue tomorrow. Thanks so much for sharing.
