Thank you much for the collection of books for my elderly Aunt. They will be most appreciated. :-)
Journal Entry 6 by kingfan30 at Somewhere in Lincs 🤷♂️, Lincolnshire United Kingdom on Tuesday, January 12, 2016
Book has arrived back with be me after a trip to my aunt in the care home.
27 Dec 15 - This book was given to me to pass on to an elderly relative who is in a care home and reading a lot. The back had me interested though, so I thought I would give it a read. Some of it was interesting and probably ahead of its time when it was written, but it is showing its age. I'm not sure I found the Adam and Jenifer particularly believable, either he didn't try to explain hard enough, or she wasn't listening enough, but I just felt their relationship wasn't quite right. It was certainly a fast paced quick read though.

Thanks for this Wishlist package - surprisingly I've never read anything by this author so looking forward to it :o)
I'm planning to take this book to the USA soon with the intention of reading & then releasing it somewhere in New England. Will update this JE with a review & release details on my return..
In the meantime.....if its currently safe with you, please let us know where you found it!
Thank you :o)
Review:
This is the first book by Robin Cook that I've read & while I quite enjoyed it, it did stretch credulity at times! I preferred the first half to the second, partly because it was set in Boston (which was where I was headed) & due to the fact that some of the antics that Adam got up to in the latter part were a little hard to believe. Things fell into place so easily for him, he gets fake id in under 10 mins, transport was always available & everyone he needed to speak to was always ready to oblige - he was one lucky guy! A good read but the ending was a bit too sickly sweet for my tastes.
I had intended to release in the US but I finished it quicker than I expected so left it never left the UK!
