A Flaw in the Blood

Set at the death of the Prince-Consort Albert, this is a different Victorian murder mystery. Barron has produced a series of interesting dectective novels with Jane Austen as her protagonost.
Here, Barron takes up the cause of Victoria. Specifically set at the time of Alfred's death, she throws in an Irish Barrister, Patrick Fitzgerald, the niece of Dr. John Snow, Georgiana Armistead, syphlis, hemophalia, English justice, the Queen's relationships with her children, and the kitchen sink. It all works, and wonderfully. One reviewer was left saying 'could it be?', you will have the same feeling.

Was pleasantly surprised to see this in the waiting room. Amazing that it was there for six days. Gives me something to look forward to read in my all-to-rare downtime, and I will pass it along. :)
