I really enjoy these books. Very similar to the Stephanie Plum series, but still a very light and undemanding read.

Another author I've not read so another taken from the box.

OK, so once again I've been proved incorrect. I have read one from this author before - in fact another of this series! Oops, but no problem and it was a while ago.

This did not last long on tbr but was read during our mini heatwave when it was just too warm in our bedroom to do anything else - even sleep!! and yes, I was having cold showers for some relief.

Personally, I've not read any of the Stephanie Plum series (though I've read others from Janet Evanovich) so I cannot compare but this is as billed. A delightfully easy and undemanding read.

Very light and fluffy - yes, despite the subject and the troubles of the family duo - so the action keeps moving and the touch is light enough to make this so easily readable.

I have no immediate plans for this one so I'll make it available for now but probably put in in a bookbox sometime.

Yahoo - a relaxing-read book in my birthday box from Flutterbies9 which arrived on the 2nd of August. First apologies for the delay in making a JE next a wee review; good fun though problematic as my focus was a bit diffused having to work on the fact that though this was the first in the series I had read, it’s not the first in series. So I was missing key context right from the start. The three suitors in the scenario were not coming over in a convincing manner but then this story line is not really dependant on sock solid plausibility. I’ll call it a pleasant amusement.

Hmmm, just read some other thoughts on this and have to say though I liked the Carlotta Wren character, a lot in fact, I was not getting the Stephanie Plum hunk’s vibes from the men in Carlotta’s life. Happy to read any more in the series that come my way and I may get a better feel for it.

Woo Hoo - 3 MEN AND A BODY is off travelling! It went travelling on Tuesday/Wednesday, 8/9 this week and when I have more info I can pop it here.

Now I’ve given it a bit more thought and can see that the set up here, the twin strands of Carlotta’s life and that of her brother intersecting as they do with some of Carlotta’s love-interests is going to generate many more plot twists (OK many I suspect of a car-crash type) so I can see why this could hold the attention of many a keen reader, even though it did not set me on fire.
