The Great Gatsby

Haven't read yet, but setting free a surplus copy.
Left this with the books and magazines.
Recently finished this one (with the new movie and all, I thought I should get around to reading it). It was an interesting snapshot of an era, but perhaps more importantly, was an interesting examination of human nature--especially when under the influence of material excess (which, let's face it, happens in every era among the well-to-do). It wasn't life-changing, but it was engaging, and certain passages were so well-written that most contemporary writing seems farcical in comparison.
Hope someone else can now enjoy!
