Bit of a hard slog to read (Jackson's idiosyncratic spelling and punctuation has been left in its original form, which is interesting to see, but slows your reading pace way down as you try to parse out where the sentences end), but a fascinating glimpse at life in rural America at the end of the nineteenth century.
