Bought it brand new during an airport layover. Will be lending it to my roommate for her to release to the wild.
While traveling in Venice with my family, I ran into a pair of fellow Americans on the street. Recognizing their accents I asked where they were from. After a brief exchange we became known to each other as "Alaska" and "Alabama". That evening they recognized me in a grocery store across town. I had this book in hand, as I was ready to hand it off to a suitable traveller. I had remarked to my sister earlier, that Alaska would have been a good pair to give it to, if only I had the book with me at the time. I figured running into them again with book in hand must have been fate, and as it happened, one of them was looking to read it. We happily made the exchange, and I look forward to reading about the later travels of this book.
First bookcrossing book, hopefully not the last. :-) Quick, enjoyable read. Had already seen the movie, and I think it followed the book pretty well. Now I want to read the others before the next movies come out.
Received the book from Alabama in Venice, read it in Lucca (Tuscany), and will give it away today or tomorrow. Cheers!
