1971 Harper Trophy trade paperback of the 1941 childrens classic. This was on my list of best classics to read when I bought this copy today for 25 cents from the sale shelf at Dimond Library.
I can let this go after I read:
1932 Little House in the Big Woods [read 2009]
1933 Farmer Boy [read 2011]
1935 Mr. Edward Meets Santa Claus (short story from Prairie) [read 2012]
1935 Little House on the Prairie [read 2012]
1937 On the Banks of Plum Creek [read 2012]
1939 By the Shores of Silver Lake [read 2012]
1940 The Long Winter [read 2013]
Edit April 12, 2013: This one I did not enjoy as much. It is more of a girl's book, as Laura is deeply into adolescence now, and is absorbed with all the typical issues arournd that age. But beyond that, not much of anything eventful happens here, including the very humdrum winter, following the harrowing blizzards of the earlier year.
