This was very different from the last Jane Lindskold book that I read. I absolutely loved it! I was pulled into the world and wanted to know why the magic was lost, and eager to see if the heroes were going to be able to return the magic to the land. I found myself alternating between racing through the book, and slowing myself down to draw out the story.
