This is an awesome and unusual story, the work of a very great writer. It's both endearing and frightening in turns. A beautiful girl is abducted by a psychopath..this is the story of the time they spend together. It sounds awful, but in the hands of John Fowles any story can be a treasure.

Started reading this already, I love a good creepy story. I think I could cast this off the first few pages alone if I were in charge of the movie version, which says a lot.
