I read this back in 2009 so picked up this copy as a RABCK for someone who loves Morrocco....

(I was intrigued enough to look up Riad Maizie on the internet & it was just as I imagined from the books descriptions - beautiful! Take a look here :o))

Oh WOW!
Thank you x
Looked up the Riad via your link: it's similar to (but much prettier than) the one we stayed in, in Marrakesh, this year.
Taking this to the caravan today - thank you for this and all my lovely things. x

What a joy I have found this book in so many ways . . . Morocco. Enough said!
Marrakech, the city of hustlers, hasslers, hagglers; smells, sounds, and souks - which I, like Miranda, have explored to within an inch of my life; and the hidden delights of the Medina's courtyard houses, riads and rooftops.
What thrilled me, too, is that Miranda's sister is Jocaster Innes, an interior decorator I have held for many years in high esteem.
Miranda is a wonderful writer, who tells her own story: so many of these books are written by people who, well, can't write!
Her story is frank, and brave - she makes no excuses for making decisions she has regretted afterwards, and admits to an annul tiff with Dan; I was unsure right to the end of the book whether they would survive or not!
I have looked again at Riad Maizie's website (so named after a granddaughter as Miranda is Arabic for haemorrhoids and so was not a recommended name!!) and it makes so much more sense now I've read the story.

Thank you so much for bringing my Morocco to Brighouse, you lovely and very crazy mate x
