Horoscopes for the Dead
2 journalers for this copy...
Journal Entry 1 by shnedwards from Birmingham, West Midlands United Kingdom on Thursday, November 22, 2012
I borrowed a selection of Billy Collins's work from the library, just because it was included in a display of "poetry to make you feel better", and enjoyed it very much. So I pounced on this when I saw it in a charity shop.
I find reviews of poetry difficult, so I'll just copy out the lines that gave me the wryest smile, from the title poem:
So leave it up to me now
to plan carefully for success and the wealth it may bring,
to value the dear ones close to my heart,
and to welcome any intellectual stimulation that comes my way
though that sounds like a lot to get done on a Tuesday.
RESERVED to send to HI77 soon.
