8/13/02 This book has 587 pages, I'm on page 170. Initially I found this book interesting but then it seemed a bit tedious and it isn't holding my attention. I put it down for awhile and have read 5 or 6 other books in the mean time. I've seen that other people give this book very high ratings but for some reason I'm not into it. Maybe it's because I saw the movie a couple of years ago. Maybe some one will encourage me to persevere to a great ending. Maybe I will give up and release it to someone more appreciative.

I "found" this book in my mailbox all the way from Oregon and will "release" it to a mailbox back in Oregon. It was a quick read for so many years to cover. I can now add the movie to my "need to rent someday" list.

This was a very odd book. There was so much about the characters that just didn't feel like the way those characters would act. I'm not against abortion, in that I don't deny anyone's right to have one, but an entire book all about one man's fixation on everyone's right to have one? A bit odd. I know it wasn't the whole point, just a pivot to revolve the story around, but it just didn't work for me. ML
I just gave this book back to Bookgirl, so it's come full circle via Idaho! I know she'll be releasing it into the wild at some point, so watch for it and you can let all three of us know if you have a differing opinion about the book. ML
So mysterylover gave this book back to me and now I'm sending it to Miami Florida in the next few days.
Finally journaled this book. Thanks so much bookgirl, for the opportunity to read this book. I appreciate it :)
