Purchased for Hyphen8 for the NEW wishlist tag game
A bestselling author tells the terrifying and inspiring story of the plane crash he survived
Around midnight on June 17, 1979, Air New England flight 248 crashed into the woods on Cape Cod. The pilot died but the copilot and eight passengers survived with trauma both physical and emotional. Robert Sabbag, at the height of his fame for his bestselling book Snowblind, was among them.

Thank you! Of course, the book is not here yet...but I thought I'd add it to my "shelf".
Received today as a wishlist tag - a hardback with dust jacket.
The book arrived with an apology for not sending the paperback instead:
"Dear Buyer,
I am so sorry the paperback you ordered had a lot of shelf wear when I pulled it. I did have this hardcover with the same title. I hope this is an acceptable replacement. Again I am very sorry."
It's acceptable to *me*, anyway - I think that's excellent customer service. :)

Not sure what I was expecting, but probably not quite this. I found it an interesting read anyway.
Good bits:
Our location was, in fact, quite specific. As pinpointed by one of the newspapers, published the following morning, we were "in the middle of nowhere."
Think of courage as a fall-back position. At least in one significant way, it's an expression of self-interest: You have to live with what you do for the rest of your life. In the end, to the extent that you have a chance, you don't really have a choice. There are no rewards for doing what's right, only penalties for failing to do it.
There are few things that come with greater spiritual cost than involving yourself in a lawsuit. No matter how successful you emerge, the trade-off is never worth it.

Wishlist book headed out in a birthday package - enjoy!
I received this great Hardcover book for my birthday as part of the Birthday Group, thanks so much for sending it to me and for helping to make my birthday even more special! I appreciate it!!
This book turned out to be disappointing. I thought this would be an interesting book about a plane crash but it was more about what happened afterwards as the author who was on the plane tries to connect with the other passengers to see how they are doing years after which did not turn out to be very interesting. The author spent a lot of time jumping around in the story and it did not have a good flow.
Releasing as part of the wishlist tag game, happy reading!
